I sincerely love making and sharing music with other people. As such, I would rather say yes to projects and students that excite me than say no over budgeting issues. That being said, my dog’s gotta eat. Below are some starting points for live work, session work, and lessons, but please don’t hesitate to reach out about making things work within your budget.
Local One-offs
$200 (covers rehearsals and travel in and around Nashville, TN)
One-off shows that require me to memorize new-to-me music start at
$200 (covers rehearsals and travel in and around Nashville, TN)
$125 (covers rehearsals and travel in and around Nashville, TN)
Subsequent shows with familiar music drop to

Touring
$150 per show + whatever per diem the rest of the band receives.
Assuming travel and lodging are provided, the rate for any run of 3+ shows is
$150 per show + whatever per diem the rest of the band receives.
Tours generally require a 33% deposit to cover prep work in the event of cancellation.
However, if I am required to cancel for any reason, all payment will be fully refunded.
STUDIO
First things first, I ask to receive credit for my work in the liner notes for the project wherever they appear, physically or digitally.
$300 per 3 hour session.
For in-person sessions, I generally follow the Union scale of
$300 per 3 hour session.
$150 per track.
Since timing for remote recordings vary, I usually request
$150 per track.
I also like to note that I am very open to subbing cash payment for session work for a reasonable and agreed-upon number of points, reflecting the composition of my part. (In fact, I might even prefer it.)
